Cox Communications

pawprintStudents are taught with the use of the National Cable Telecommunications Institute (www.ncti.com) curriculum to get a comprehensive over of the telecommunications system.  A comprehensive overview of the broadband cable system provides the students with a working knowledge of the system from the signal sources to the customer premises equipment while teaching the requirements for an installer. 

 

DC electronic theory, the basics of digital video and high-speed Internet access services, computer hardware and operating system setup, and extensive step-by-step installation procedures are taught.

 

Detailed lessons cover both the basics of and installation procedures for twisted-pair inside wiring and constant bit rate telephony equipment.

 

In addition, students can apply for senior-year internships for customer service technical representatives and home service technicians.
