Criminal Justice

pawprintThe Criminal Justice program focuses on the elements of the criminal justice system:  law enforcement, courts, corrections and private security.  The students will be introduced to academic and practical applications of police operations and procedures, investigations and forensic science, legal systems, and trial procedures.  The program includes a combination of academic studies, research projects and hands-on skill development.  The student organization for the Criminal Justice Program is the Florida Public Service Association.

 

The Criminal Justice Operations Program consists of four core criminal justice classes and two mandatory electives.  The Criminal Justice Operations Program is designed to introduce the students to the related fields within the American Criminal Justice System.  The program includes a combination of academic studies, research projects, and practical "hands-on" skills development and is supplemented by guest speakers and related field trips.

Three of our Criminal Justice Academy students competed at Pensacola State College on February 7, 2018.  

The competition included armed robbery scenarios, gear checks, reading the Miranda rights, and job interview.  The competition concluded with the writing of a police reports.

The results were as follows:

Gavin Patterson -- 2nd Place

Hannah Williams -- 3rd Place
